It carries a 750W motor, hydraulic brakes, a 450 lb payload rating and the option of dual batteries for long range, on 20x3 wheels with a low step-through frame. The 2.0 added a torque sensor and a rear rack that accepts Lectric's own passenger kits and many third-party child seats. It costs a fraction of a Tern or Specialized cargo bike. It is heavy and the finish is utilitarian, and support is direct rather than through a shop, but for families replacing car trips on a budget it is the first bike to look at.

The Abound is a compact longtail cargo bike on 20-inch wheels with a 750W motor, torque sensor and a 440 lb total payload rating. It comes with a dropper seatpost so multiple riders can share it, a rear rack designed for child seats and panniers, and a front suspension fork. The step-through frame and low center of gravity make it less intimidating than a full-length longtail. It is not a cheap bike, and the accessories that make it useful (passenger kit, footboards, front basket) add up. For school runs and groceries in flat suburbs it is a strong, well-supported pick.

Velotric Packer 1 Cargo E-Bike

The Packer 1 is a compact utility cargo bike on 20-inch wheels with a 750W motor, a 692Wh UL-certified battery and a 440 lb payload rating. The rear rack is long enough for a child seat or a passenger pad, and the low step-through frame makes loading easy. Fenders, lights and hydraulic brakes are standard. It is cheaper than a longtail from Tern or Aventon and more capable than a RadRunner for heavier loads, though the cadence sensor makes starts under load a little abrupt. A good middle ground for families who want a cargo bike without a cargo-bike price.
