Race Face Chester Composite Platform Pedals
The Chester is the default recommendation for anyone who wants a big, grippy flat pedal without spending much. The nylon composite body is wide, the replaceable pins bite into sneakers, and the sealed bearings shrug off weather. On an e-bike the stock pedals are often tiny and slippery, and a pair of Chesters is one of the cheapest comfort upgrades there is. They are offered in many colors and use the standard 9/16-inch thread found on nearly all adult bikes; install with an 8 mm hex key from the back of the crank arm.
Best for: Replacing slippery stock pedals on any adult e-bike · Riders who ride in sneakers · Wet-weather commuters
