Peak Design Out Front Bike Mount

Peak Design's mount uses a magnetic connection with a mechanical lock: the phone snaps on, locks with a click, and releases by squeezing a button. It works with Peak Design's Everyday Case or the universal adapter, and the magnets also play nicely with MagSafe-style accessories off the bike. The machined aluminum arm is as nice as anything on the market. The convenience of not twisting to lock is real, though some riders prefer Quad Lock's more obviously positive latch for rough terrain. It is a premium choice for commuters who already like Peak Design gear and want a clean cockpit.

Quad Lock Out Front Bike Mount

Quad Lock's twist-lock system is the standard most other mounts are measured against, and the Out Front version places the phone ahead of the stem where it sits level and easy to read. You need a Quad Lock case or universal adapter for your phone, which is the main catch and the main strength: the lock is positive, vibration-tolerant, and does not rely on clamps that loosen over potholes. For e-bikes with heavy vibration or fat tires, add the optional vibration dampener to protect camera stabilization hardware. The arm clamps 31.8 mm or 35 mm bars depending on the version.

Best for: Riders who navigate on the phone daily · E-bikes with cluttered cockpits · Phones in Quad Lock cases already

Rokform Pro Series Bike Phone Mount

Rokform's system combines a twist lock with a strong magnet, aimed at riders who beat on their gear. The Pro Series mount is machined aluminum and clamps to the bar or stem faceplate, and the phone attaches via a Rokform case or a universal adapter. It is a favorite with mountain bikers and eMTB riders for the redundancy of magnet plus lock. Cases run bulkier than Peak Design or Quad Lock, and the ecosystem is smaller, but the mount itself is overbuilt in a good way. Fat-tire and off-road e-bike riders who want something that will not shake loose should shortlist it.

Best for: eMTB and fat-tire riders · Riders who want magnet and lock redundancy · Rough roads and trails
